Mission

ARCWAY uses maps to reduce the complexity between business processes and IT.
 

The company was formed in March 2004 as a successor to PLAN S GmbH.

ARCWAY AG is a spin-off of the Hasso-Plattner-Institut für Softwaresystemtechnik.

ARCWAY AG offers services in the field of visual requirements engineering for software projects, the analysis and documentation of software applications and landscapes, and the design and specification of projects in the area of service-oriented architectures (SOA). These solutions are based on ARCWAY's landscaping concept for efficient project modeling.

This landscaping concept is realized using the ARCWAY Cockpit software developed and operated by ARCWAY. ARCWAY Cockpit allows the creation of maps from various perspectives and the administration of project-relevant information, such as requirements, on the basis of these maps. This makes ARCWAY Cockpit the optimal tool for implementing the solutions offered by ARCWAY.

The founders of ARCWAY AG work at the Hasso-Plattner-Institut in Potsdam and were active in its establishment.
The Hasso-Plattner-Institut is Germany's only higher education institution where it is possible to study "IT Systems Engineering", thereby providing students with a unique elite university education in the field of IT systems technology.

ARCWAY AG is the first spin-off of the Hasso-Plattner-Institut für Softwaresystemtechnik.
